It's 777 (7/7/07). What is so special? Seem like a good day to get married. 777 Couples were Solemnized at the ROM. And about 845 couples got married today. Wow... Wow... Wow....
Today, we replenished our home Crockery. We managed to get some nice stuff. After our purchase, we drop by Tampines Round Market for our lunch. We ordered Lor Mee. As I do not want to eat fish, guess what did the uncle gave me? Hahaha.... if you are an egg lover, try this egg lor mee. The uncle is so damn generous with the egg. I think there are more than 2 eggs in this lor mee. The one on the left is with fish and the one on the right is the egg lor mee.

Now at hawker center or coffee shops, we have smoker area but at Tampines Round Market, they even have smoker chairs. Check this out. "FOR SMOKER ONLY".
There, if you need to smoke, you need should sit here and smoke. Hahahah... That's Den on the smoker chair smoking.

I am very happy with what we have brought today. We bought a nice shape bowl to put our potpurri to display it at our built in cabinet. I love this salt & pepper, its so cute and unique. Just like two pieces of stones. Good for display too. We also bought two soap dispenser to put it at our kitchen basin. Nice shape. We like it very much.

Finally, our long awaited Ottoman chair is here. We waited for more than two months for this chair. At least after the long wait, we are very satisfied with the chair. The area have been emptied since we shifted in and finally we found a simple white chair to fit that area.

Hmm..... Now Pi Pa in a can. Nice packaging (very original and old fashion) Have not tried the drink, bought it because of the packaging. Hopefully its good. If its not too good, at least it should be good for health right (a milder version of cough syrup)? In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pi Pa Gao is believed to be an effective cough syrup for acute or chronic coughs with copious phlegm. It also soothes a sore and irritated throat. Can be helpful for bronchitis, smoker's cough, asthma and pertussis.*
Teck Khoon recommened "KINGFISHER" Beer to Den and said that it's mild and good.
A little history of "Kingfisher"
The inspiration for the choice of brand name was certainly influenced by the great numbers of these beautiful and strikingly coloured birds which abound in India where over 70 different varieties/species of kingfisher can be found - more than in any other country or continent in the world.
Kingfishers are particularly prevalent in Bangalore, the garden city of India, which is also headquarters to The United Breweries Group, brand owners of Kingfisher Lager.
The new distinctive Kingfisher brand logo incorporates a visual of an Indian Kingfisher.
From modest beginnings where Kingfisher Lager's distribution was somewhat confined to Southern India, it has grown to become India's leading brand of premium lager with share now approaching 36% of the total beer market.
The brand is owned by the UB Group of India, a multi-divisional conglomerate operating in over 20 countries across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Far East.

For the UB Group, brewing was where it all began and the history of the group is synonymous with the history of beer in India.

Den said that the beer is not bad. The 1st sip tastes just like Wheat drink but the subsequent sips, taste like heineken. This was the last bottle we found at Punggol Plaza NTUC. Seem like many people are buying this India Beer.

What's for dessert this week?
Yes.... That's Snow Jelly. Very nice and good for health.
What is Snow Jelly?
Snow Jelly is an extract taken from the female of a frog species, which live in the forest of Jiang Baishan mountainous region in Northeast China. Known originally as “Hashima? a Korean name, it is now widely known in English as Snow Jelly. Snow Jelly has been tested and found to contain high levels of protein (amino acids), minerals such as iron, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium as well as vitamins B1 and B2. Best of all, its cholesterol-free! That's why Snow Jelly or “Hashima" is traditionally served as imperial cuisine of the Chinese courts. The benefits of consuming Snow Jelly is to strengthen the internal organs especially the lungs and also for a healthier skin complexion. The benefits derived are similar to consuming bird's nest except that Snow Jelly is available at a fraction of the cost.

The Chinese believe that frog reduces internal heat, detoxifies, and eliminates water in the body.
